Storm Clouds in Yosemite in February

Storm Clouds

So this is the last of the Yosemite pictures for a little while. Let’s call this a bonus shot. This was taken right at sunset looking up the Merced River from Sentinel Bridge. If the clouds had cleared, Half Dome would be straight ahead and the moon, full, just to the right. The bridge was packed and people were disappointed. Maybe I didn’t get some iconic shot, that’s ok, I like this.

Rainbow and the Lower Yosemite Falls in Yosemite in February

Lower Yosemite Falls with a rainbow

This was taken during an early morning walk. I almost didn’t go up this way because my hands were frozen through my gloves. Really, I remember thinking “have my hands ever been this cold”. When I got to the bridge at the foot of the falls, the sun was just starting to create this rainbow while Brian from Aperture Academy was walking among a workshop  group who was snapping it up.

Believe it or not, this photo was taken around 10:00pm from
the path off the parking lot and bus stop at Sentinel Bridge.
